Dahlia Display Garden
The Dahlia Society of Georgia
has instituted a Dahlia
Display Garden which is located at the Plantation on the
Stone Mountain State Park property. It is planted and
maintained by members of the Society as a labor of love
for the general public to have access to a dahlia garden that
shows dahlias growing in the South.
The
display garden contains approximately 100 dahlia plants of all sizes
and shapes. A dazzling array of blooms with almost every color imaginable
and almost all of the 19 different forms of dahlias are included in
the display. The peak blooming period is from the first of September
until the first of November or until frost.
The garden is located just
across the sidewalk from the Antebellum Home on the grounds of the Plantation.
